It generally takes 2-5 business days for funds to transfer electronically, but this is an estimate as the timing is dependent on the issuing bank’s normal transfer schedule. 

For accounts fewer than 30 days old, deposited funds have a 7 day hold before becoming available. For accounts older than 30 days, deposited funds are generally available the day after deposit. All deposits are subject to extended holds. 

Your deposited funds will begin to earn interest from the original date of deposit. 

You can change your login ID or password by logging into your Bankwell Online portal (https://open.bankwelldirect.com/login) and clicking, ‘Security Preferences’ from the left navigation panel.  

You can transfer funds from another bank account into your Bankwell account from your other bank’s online portal. Soon, you’ll be able to use the Bankwell online banking portal to pull funds from another bank account as well. 

On the Bankwell Online portal (https://secure.mybankwell.com/mybankwellonlinebanking/uux.aspx#/login), once you’ve logged in, you’ll see a blue button that reads, ‘Link Account’. Click that button and follow the steps to link your external bank account with your Bankwell account. Once you’ve completed that link, you will be able to click, ‘Transfer Money Now’ from the main page of your Bankwell online portal to transfer funds into that external account. 

We’re working on this functionality but for the immediate term, you can send money from your other bank account into your Bankwell account from your other bank’s website. We recognize this is less than ideal and are working diligently to build this funding functionality into our account.  

You can receive these statements via postage mail or email. You can update your preference by logging into your Bankwell Online portal (https://secure.mybankwell.com/mybankwellonlinebanking/uux.aspx#/login) and clicking ‘Settings’ from the left navigation panel. Then click, ‘Statement Delivery’.
